Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a chronic, progressive disease affecting approximately twelve million Americans in the U.S.A. COPD is a general designation that is used to describe several diseases including Emphysema, Chronic Bronchitis, and Restrictive Air Way Disease. Most COPD is a result of smoking. Treatment for this disease includes the use of Medications delivered directly to the lungs and supplemental oxygen delivered via oxygen concentrators or liquid oxygen systems. COPD is characterized by symptoms such as shortness of breath upon exertion, a feeling of being tired, and a productive cough. Although life style changes are indicated we offer our patients the latest technology allowing them to remain active and independent
- New patients are set up and trained by our staff respiratory therapists.
- Super quiet, light weight oxygen concentrators that deliver up to 10 liters per minute.
- We feature Invacare Home Fill systems that allow our patients to fill their own oxygen bottles for portability. This means no waiting on deliveries.
- Light weight portable systems that allow up to 8 hours away from home.
